T he region is home to many impressive raptors such as the snake eagle, kite, harrier, hawk and sparrow hawk, but the true emperor of the blue skies is the endangered bearded vulture. Nowhere else in the world are you more likely to see this majestic bird than here.

M any colorful little birds also make a trip in the mountains worthwhile. The nightingale, bee-eater, wheatear, lark, hoopoe and wallcreeper are just a few of the many birds you can spot.

On a weekly basis, wild vultures are being fed in Aínsa to maintain the population. A spectacle not to be missed!

Hides

From a hide you have a good view of certain bird species. Each hide is built to observe a specific species. The chance of seeing them is almost 100%.

Ornithological hikes

In the wild you can spot numerous birds. You often see them from a distance. It is never certain which birds will fly by, although we know the habitat of several species.
